Bloodstock Open Air is the UK’s premier independent heavy metal festival, held annually every August at Catton Park, Derbyshire. Founded in 2001 as an indoor event and expanding outdoors in 2005, it now draws 20,000 fans across up to five stages, including the Ronnie James Dio and Sophie Lancaster Stages .
